WARNING
Loose Objects
Do not place objects inside the Kia EV6 driver’s footwell area or underneath the front seats.
Loose objects near the pedals could interfere with accelerator, brake, or steering control operation and may increase the risk of an accident.
WARNING
Uprighting Seat
Do not operate the manual seatback release lever without securely holding and controlling the Kia EV6 seatback.
The seatback may spring upright suddenly and could strike you or other passengers.
WARNING
Driver Responsibility for Passengers
|
The Kia EV6 driver should always instruct passengers to keep seatbacks in the upright position whenever the vehicle is moving.
If a seatback is reclined excessively during a collision, the effectiveness of the restraint system may be greatly reduced and serious injury could occur.
WARNING
Seat Cushion
Occupants should never sit on aftermarket seat cushions or unsupported sitting pads inside the Kia EV6.
The Occupant Detection System (ODS) may not function properly, and passengers may slide beneath the lap belt during sudden braking or collisions.
WARNING
Driver’s Seat
Never attempt to adjust the Kia EV6 seat while the vehicle is moving. Sudden seat movement may result in loss of vehicle control.
Do not allow luggage, objects, or accessories to interfere with normal seatback positioning. Items placed against the seatback may increase injury risk during sudden stops or collisions.
Sit as far back from the Kia EV6 steering wheel as possible while still maintaining comfortable control of the vehicle.
A minimum distance of approximately 10 inches (25 cm) between the driver’s chest and the steering wheel is recommended to reduce the risk of air bag-related injuries.
WARNING
Rear Seatbacks
Always verify that the Kia EV6 rear seatbacks are securely locked in place before driving.
Unlocked rear seatbacks may allow passengers or cargo to move forward unexpectedly during sudden braking or collisions.
WARNING
Unexpected Seat Movement
After adjusting a manual Kia EV6 seat, always confirm that the seat is fully locked by shifting your body weight forward and backward carefully.
Unexpected seat movement while driving may result in loss of vehicle control.
WARNING
Seat Adjustment
Do not adjust Kia EV6 seats while wearing the seat belt. Moving the seat forward may place excessive pressure on the abdomen or torso.
Keep hands away from the Kia EV6 seat rails, tracks, and lower seat mechanisms while adjusting the seats to avoid possible injury.
WARNING
Luggage and Cargo
Do not stack luggage or cargo above the Kia EV6 seatback height inside the cargo area.
During an accident or sudden stop, unsecured cargo may move forward and seriously injure vehicle occupants.
Large or heavy items must always be secured properly inside the Kia EV6 cargo compartment.
WARNING
Cargo Area
Passengers should never ride inside the Kia EV6 cargo area under any circumstances.
The cargo compartment is intended only for transporting luggage and cargo items.
WARNING
Small Objects
Use extreme caution when retrieving small items trapped underneath Kia EV6 seats or between the seat and center console.
Sharp edges or moving seat components may cause cuts or injuries to your hands.
WARNING
Seat Short Circuit Risk
Be careful when installing seat covers or plastic protective materials on Kia EV6 seats.
Improper installation may interfere with seat wiring, air ventilation systems, or electrical seat components and could potentially create a short circuit or fire hazard.
CAUTION
Precautions with Seat Covers
Use caution when working around the Kia EV6 seat covers and ventilation systems.
Improper handling may cause electrical disconnection, unwanted noise, or damage to the seat ventilation system.
Kia EV6 seats may be upholstered using a combination of genuine leather and high-quality artificial leather materials.
The genuine leather portions are produced from natural animal hide that undergoes specialized treatment processes before being used in vehicle interiors.
Because leather is a natural material, variations in texture, thickness, grain pattern, and density may occur between different sections of the seat surface.
Wrinkles and natural texture variations may also appear depending on humidity, temperature, and usage conditions.
The Kia EV6 seat upholstery uses stretchable materials designed to improve passenger comfort and seating ergonomics.
The body-contact areas of the Kia EV6 seats are shaped with ergonomic curves and enhanced side bolsters to improve driving comfort, body support, and stability during cornering.
Natural wrinkles or surface creases may develop over time through normal Kia EV6 seat usage and do not indicate a manufacturing defect.
CAUTION
Belts, keys, metallic accessories, or sharp objects stored in pockets may damage the Kia EV6 seat upholstery or leather surfaces.
Avoid excessive moisture or liquid exposure on Kia EV6 leather seats, as this may affect leather texture, appearance, or durability.
Jeans or certain dyed clothing materials may transfer color onto the Kia EV6 seat upholstery surface.
NOTE
Wrinkles, light abrasions, and natural texture changes may appear on Kia EV6 seat materials through regular usage and aging.
These characteristics are considered normal properties of leather upholstery and are not covered under warranty.
