Kia EV6 manual front seat adjustment controls and seat positioning functions
  1. Forward/backward seat adjustment

  2. Seat cushion height adjustment

  3. Seatback recline angle adjustment

Use the manual adjustment levers located on the outer side of the Kia EV6 seat cushion to adjust the front seat position.

Proper seat adjustment improves driving comfort, visibility, and control of the Kia EV6 steering wheel, pedals, and dashboard controls.

Forward and backward (1)

Always adjust the Kia EV6 seat position before driving.

After adjusting the seat, confirm that it is securely locked by attempting to move it forward and backward without using the adjustment lever.

If the seat moves unexpectedly, the Kia EV6 seat may not be locked correctly.

To move the seat forward or backward:

  1. Pull the Kia EV6 seat slide adjustment lever upward and hold it.

  2. Slide the seat forward or backward to the desired position.

  3. Release the lever and verify that the Kia EV6 seat locks securely into place.

Seat height (2)

To adjust the height of the Kia EV6 seat cushion, operate the height adjustment lever upward or downward.

  • To lower the Kia EV6 seat cushion, push the lever downward several times.

  • To raise the Kia EV6 seat cushion, pull the lever upward several times.

Correct seat height adjustment improves driving posture, visibility, and long-distance comfort inside the Kia EV6.

Seatback angle (3)

To recline the Kia EV6 seatback:

  1. Lean slightly forward and lift the seatback recline lever.

  2. Carefully lean backward and adjust the Kia EV6 seatback to the desired recline position.

  3. Release the lever and make sure the seatback locks securely into place.

The lever MUST fully return to its original position for the Kia EV6 seatback locking mechanism to engage properly.

WARNING

Reclining Seatback

Sitting in a heavily reclined position while the Kia EV6 is moving may be extremely dangerous.

Even when seat belts are fastened, the effectiveness of the restraint system and air bag protection is greatly reduced when the seatback is reclined excessively.

The Kia EV6 seat belt must fit snugly across the chest and hips to provide proper protection.

When the seatback is reclined too far, the shoulder belt may move away from the chest and remain in front of the body instead of protecting the occupant properly.

During a collision, the occupant could slide beneath the lap belt or strike the shoulder belt incorrectly, increasing the risk of serious neck, chest, or internal injuries.

The greater the Kia EV6 seatback recline angle, the higher the possibility that the passenger’s hips may slide beneath the lap belt during an accident.

Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: Change of distance to empty when 100% charging

If the estimated distance to empty decreases because the Kia EV6 has adapted to your driving style or environmental conditions, the estimated range may increase again when the vehicle is driven according to efficient driving practices. The distance-to-empty value can be reset by a workshop, but this does not increase the actual battery range.
