Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control helps the Kia EV6 maintain a safe and appropriate speed by using information from the navigation system while driving on highways or motorways with Smart Cruise Control operating. This feature can support smoother driving by adjusting vehicle behavior according to upcoming road conditions.
NOTE
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available only on certain highways and controlled-access roads. A controlled-access road is a road with limited entrances and exits that allows uninterrupted high-speed traffic flow. In general, only passenger cars and motorcycles are permitted on these roads.
Availability may depend on the road type, navigation map data, region, and Kia EV6 equipment specification.
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control operates on the main roads of controlled-access highways and does not operate on interchanges, junctions, ramps, or similar connecting road sections.
Additional highways and supported road sections may be added through future navigation system updates.
NOTE
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control in the Kia EV6 operates on the main roads of highways or motorways, and it does not operate on interchanges, junctions, ramps, tollgate areas, or road sections where navigation data cannot support reliable speed assistance.
WARNING
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) is a supplemental driver assistance feature and is not a replacement for safe driving. The driver is always responsible for checking the speed, maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, observing traffic signs, and driving the Kia EV6 with proper caution in all conditions.
Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown
When the Kia EV6 approaches or travels through a curve at higher speed, Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown uses navigation system information to temporarily reduce speed or limit acceleration. This helps support more stable and comfortable driving through highway curve zones while Smart Cruise Control is active.
Operation of this device in the Kia EV6 is subject to the following two conditions:
This device may not cause harmful interference, and
this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired or irregular operation.
