Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control in the Kia EV6 operates under the following conditions:
Smart Cruise Control is currently active and operating.
The Kia EV6 is driving on a highway, motorway, or supported main road.
The system uses navigation information, road curvature data, and highway mapping information to support smoother and safer speed control during long-distance highway driving.
NOTE
For more detailed information about Smart Cruise Control operation and settings, refer to the Smart Cruise Control (SCC) section for the Kia EV6.

When Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is operating in the Kia EV6, the system status and indicators are displayed on the instrument cluster as follows:
Standby
If all operating conditions are satisfied, the green (
) indicator appears
on the cluster
display.
Operating
During automatic speed adjustment and active speed control, the green (
) indicator
blinks
to show that Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is controlling vehicle speed.
Pause/Driver operation
If Smart Cruise Control cannot continue operating because of a temporary pause, route recalculation, rerouting
event,
unsupported road section, or other navigation-related condition, the gray (
) indicator will
appear
on the cluster.
If the accelerator pedal is pressed while Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is active, the white (
)
indicator will blink on the cluster to indicate temporary driver intervention.
WARNING
The following warning message may appear under certain driving conditions:
|
|
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control may not be able to reduce the Kia EV6 speed to a fully safe level under all road, traffic, weather, or curve conditions.
Drivers should always monitor traffic flow, road curvature, speed limits, and surrounding vehicles even while Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is active.
NOTE
The displayed images, indicator colors, and graphics may appear differently depending on the Kia EV6 instrument cluster version, display theme, market specification, or software update version.
Depending on the highway or motorway curve ahead, the Kia EV6 may automatically reduce speed before entering the curve and then gradually accelerate back to the Smart Cruise Control set speed after passing through the curved section.
This function is designed to improve driving stability, passenger comfort, and overall confidence while driving at higher speeds on highways equipped with supported navigation data.
NOTE
The point at which the Kia EV6 begins decelerating depends on current driving speed, road curvature, navigation information, and surrounding traffic conditions. At higher vehicle speeds, deceleration may begin earlier to provide smoother and safer cornering performance.
Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: If You Have a Flat Tire (with Tire Mobility Kit)
The Tire Mobility Kit (TMK) supplied with the Kia EV6 is intended as a temporary emergency repair solution. Following use of the kit, the damaged tire should be professionally inspected, repaired, or replaced by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
