When driving on eligible highways with Smart Cruise Control (SCC) already engaged, the Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) system utilizes real-time navigation data to automatically adjust your Kia K4 speed, ensuring it remains optimized for current road conditions, such as upcoming curves or speed limit changes.

TIP

  • The NSCC system is available only on designated highways. A controlled-access road is defined as a road with limited entrances and exits that allows for uninterrupted, high-speed traffic flow; these roads are generally restricted to passenger cars and motorcycles.

  • Additional highway segments may be added to the Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control coverage area through future over-the-air or dealership navigation system updates for your Kia K4.

NOTE

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is designed to operate on main arterial roads and highways, but it does not support complex maneuvers such as navigating interchanges or highway junctions.

TIP

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) serves as a supplemental convenience feature and is not a replacement for attentive, safe driving. It remains your sole responsibility as the driver of the Kia K4 to constantly monitor vehicle speed, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and remain prepared to take manual control at any time.

Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown

When traveling at higher speeds on a curved section of a highway, the Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown feature uses advanced navigation system information to temporarily reduce speed or limit acceleration. This assists you in maintaining vehicle stability and safety while navigating curves in your Kia K4.
