When the Kia EV6 windshield becomes covered with frost, fog, or interior moisture, visibility may be reduced and the windshield should be cleared immediately before driving.
WARNING
Windshield Heating
Do not use the (
) or (
) airflow positions during cooling operation in
extremely
humid weather conditions. The difference between outside temperature and windshield surface temperature may
cause the exterior side of the windshield to fog, reducing visibility.
In this situation, set the Kia EV6 airflow mode to the (
) position and reduce the fan speed to a lower setting.
For maximum Kia EV6 windshield defrosting performance, set the temperature control to the highest heat setting and adjust the fan speed to the maximum level.
If warm air in the footwell area is preferred during defrosting or defogging, select the Kia EV6 floor-defrost airflow mode.
Before driving, completely remove snow and ice from the Kia EV6 windshield, rear glass, side windows, and outside mirrors.
Clear all snow, leaves, and ice from the hood air intake grille area to improve Kia EV6 heater efficiency and reduce the likelihood of interior windshield fogging.

Set the Kia EV6 blower fan speed to the maximum level.
Adjust the temperature setting to the highest heat position (HI).
Press the windshield defroster button (
).
The Kia EV6 climate system automatically switches to Fresh Air mode and activates the air conditioning system according to the detected outside temperature.

Set the Kia EV6 fan speed to the desired airflow level.
Select the preferred cabin temperature.
Press the windshield defroster button (
).
The Kia EV6 climate system automatically switches to Fresh Air mode and activates the air conditioning system based on ambient temperature conditions.
If the Kia EV6 air conditioning system and Fresh Air intake mode are not selected automatically, adjust the controls manually.
If the (
) mode is selected, the fan speed automatically
increases for improved windshield clearing performance.
The Kia EV6 automatic ventilation system automatically switches to the outside (fresh) air intake position when the climate control system operates for a certain period of time, approximately 5 minutes, in low-temperature conditions while recirculation mode is selected.
This Kia EV6 feature helps maintain fresh cabin air circulation and reduces excessive moisture buildup inside the vehicle.
