When the Kia EV6 windshield becomes covered with frost, fog, or interior moisture, visibility may be reduced and the windshield should be cleared immediately before driving.

WARNING

Windshield Heating

Do not use the (Kia EV6 windshield defrost airflow mode icon) or (Kia EV6 windshield defog airflow mode icon) airflow positions during cooling operation in extremely humid weather conditions. The difference between outside temperature and windshield surface temperature may cause the exterior side of the windshield to fog, reducing visibility.

In this situation, set the Kia EV6 airflow mode to the (Kia EV6 face-level airflow mode icon) position and reduce the fan speed to a lower setting.

  • For maximum Kia EV6 windshield defrosting performance, set the temperature control to the highest heat setting and adjust the fan speed to the maximum level.

  • If warm air in the footwell area is preferred during defrosting or defogging, select the Kia EV6 floor-defrost airflow mode.

  • Before driving, completely remove snow and ice from the Kia EV6 windshield, rear glass, side windows, and outside mirrors.

  • Clear all snow, leaves, and ice from the hood air intake grille area to improve Kia EV6 heater efficiency and reduce the likelihood of interior windshield fogging.

Automatic ventilation

The Kia EV6 automatic ventilation system automatically switches to the outside (fresh) air intake position when the climate control system operates for a certain period of time, approximately 5 minutes, in low-temperature conditions while recirculation mode is selected.

This Kia EV6 feature helps maintain fresh cabin air circulation and reduces excessive moisture buildup inside the vehicle.
