The Kia EV6 Auto Defogging System (ADS) helps reduce windshield fogging by automatically detecting moisture levels on the inside surface of the windshield.

The Kia EV6 Auto Defogging System operates whenever the heating or air conditioning system is active.
The indicator illuminates whenever the Kia EV6 ADS system detects excess moisture on the inside of the windshield and activates automatic defogging functions.
The Kia EV6 Auto Defogging System removes excess windshield moisture in several stages. For example, if the windshield is not cleared sufficiently during the Fresh Air stage, the system automatically proceeds to the air conditioning stage.

Press and hold the Kia EV6 front windshield defroster button for approximately 3 seconds while the vehicle is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
When the Kia EV6 ADS system is canceled, the defroster button indicator blinks three times at 0.5-second intervals.
When the Kia EV6 ADS system is reactivated, the defroster indicator blinks six times at 0.25-second intervals.
CAUTION
Do not remove or modify the Kia EV6 windshield moisture sensor cover located near the upper passenger side area of the windshield glass. Damage to the sensor or related components may affect system operation and may not be covered under warranty.

This indicator appears: When the Kia EV6 is fully ready for driving operation. ON: Normal vehicle driving is available. OFF: Normal driving is not possible or a system issue has occurred. Blinking: Emergency driving operation may still be possible. If the READY indicator turns OFF or begins blinking while driving the Kia EV6, there may be a problem with the electric drive system.The Kia EV6 can be charged using an AC charger installed at home or at public AC charging stations. AC charging is commonly used for overnight charging and routine daily charging sessions. For additional details regarding AC charging procedures, charging times, and connector information, refer to the AC charging section of the Kia EV6 manual.
