Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist system detecting approaching vehicle while passengers exit

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system is designed to help reduce the risk of accidents when passengers exit the vehicle.

While the Kia EV6 is stopped, Safe Exit Assist can monitor vehicles approaching from the rear side area and provide visual and audible warnings if a passenger attempts to open a door when a potential collision risk is detected.

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist system is especially useful in busy city traffic, roadside parking situations, school pickup zones, and narrow urban streets.

Kia EV6 electronic child safety lock activated during Safe Exit Assist operation

When the Kia EV6 electronic child safety lock button is set to the LOCK position and the system detects an approaching vehicle from the rear side area, the rear doors may remain locked even if the driver presses the unlock button.

This Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist feature helps prevent rear passengers from opening the doors into approaching traffic.

The timing of Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist warnings may vary depending on the speed, direction, and distance of approaching vehicles.

The Kia EV6 Digital Key 2 smartphone touch control system allows the driver to conveniently lock or unlock the vehicle doors simply by touching a compatible smartphone to the exterior door handle, without needing to manually open the Kia Access App. In addition, the Kia EV6 can be started by placing the registered smartphone onto the wireless charging pad located inside the vehicle.

Speed Limit indicator Displays the set speed The Kia EV6 Manual Speed Limit Assist (MSLA) system allows the driver to set a maximum preferred driving speed when it is not desirable to exceed a certain speed limit. If the Kia EV6 exceeds the preset speed limit, the Manual Speed Limit Assist system provides a warning by flashing the set speed indicator and sounding an audible chime until the vehicle speed returns within the selected limit.
