If the Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system is not operating properly, a warning message will appear on the instrument cluster.
The Forward Safety warning light (
), the Emergency Steering warning light (
), and the Master Warning light (
) may
illuminate simultaneously on the Kia EV6 instrument cluster.
If this occurs, have the Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
The Kia EV6 driver assistance systems rely on multiple cameras, radar sensors, and electronic control modules that require proper calibration for safe operation.

If the front windshield area where the Kia EV6 front camera is mounted, the front radar cover, bumper area, or sensor surfaces become covered by foreign material such as snow, ice, rain, mud, or dirt, the detection performance of the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system may be reduced.
Under these conditions, the Kia EV6 may temporarily limit or disable Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist operation.
If this occurs, warning messages will appear together with the Forward Safety warning light (
), the Emergency Steering warning light (
), and the Master Warning light (
)
on
the instrument cluster.
The Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system should resume normal operation after the obstruction, such as snow, rain, mud, or debris, is removed from the sensor area.
If the Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system still does not operate correctly after cleaning the sensors or removing rear bumper accessories such as trailers or carriers, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
WARNING
Even if the Kia EV6 instrument cluster does not display a warning message or warning light, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system may still not function properly.
The Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system may not operate correctly in open environments where there are few detectable objects, or when the detecting sensors remain covered by foreign material after the vehicle is switched to POWER ON mode.
Even after restarting the Kia EV6, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system may continue to malfunction if the obstruction or fault condition remains present.
Always keep the Kia EV6 front camera area and radar sensor covers clean and unobstructed to ensure proper driver assistance system operation.
NOTE
You can check the current Kia EV6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system status through the service message section within the utility information display on the instrument cluster.
