Braking intervention is released approximately two seconds after shifting into D (Drive) or approximately five minutes after shifting into R (Reverse). Once braking control is released, immediately press the brake pedal and carefully check the area around the vehicle before continuing. Braking assistance is cancelled in the following situations: The transmission is shifted to P (Park) or R (Reverse).
