Basic function
Smart Cruise Control (SCC) in the Kia Seltos detects a vehicle ahead and helps maintain both the selected speed and a set following distance from the vehicle in front.
Overtaking Acceleration Assist
While SCC is operating, if the system determines that the driver intends to overtake the vehicle ahead, acceleration may be assisted to help complete the maneuver more smoothly.
Detecting sensor

The front view camera and front radar are used as detecting sensors to recognize vehicles ahead. Refer to the image above for the detailed location of each detecting sensor on the Kia Seltos.

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system in the Kia Seltos is designed to help stabilize the vehicle during cornering and other driving maneuvers where traction may be reduced. Air bags in the Kia Seltos are activated and able to inflate only when the ENGINE START/STOP button has been turned to the ON position. The appropriate air bags inflate instantly during a serious frontal collision or side collision to help protect occupants from severe physical injury. There is no single fixed speed at which the air bags will inflate.
