If you notice the windshield wipers on your Kia K4 are no longer cleaning the glass adequately—leaving streaks or skipping—the blades are likely worn or cracked and require immediate replacement.
To prevent mechanical damage to the wiper motor, arms, or windshield surface, never attempt to move the wipers manually while they are powered or if they are in a locked position.

Be aware that commercial hot wax treatments often applied during automatic car washes can create a residue on the glass, making the windshield difficult to clean and causing wiper chatter.
The accumulation of foreign substances—such as insect remains, stubborn tree sap, or residual wax from commercial car washes—on either the windshield glass or the rubber wiper blades will severely degrade wiping effectiveness. If you experience poor visibility, clean both the windshield and the wiper blades thoroughly using a dedicated automotive glass cleaner or a mild detergent, followed by a complete rinse with clean water.
CAUTION
To prevent permanent degradation or damage to the rubber wiper blades, do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner, or any other harsh solvents on or near the wiper assembly.
