The Kia K4 is equipped with a sophisticated Integrated Memory System (IMS) designed to enhance your driving comfort. This feature allows you to store and recall personalized driving settings for multiple drivers with a simple, one-touch operation, ensuring that your Kia K4 always feels tailored to your preferences.

The system stores the following configurations:

  • Driver’s seat position (height, recline, and slide)

  • Outside rearview mirror angles

WARNING

For your safety, never attempt to operate the Integrated Memory System while the Kia K4 is in motion. Unintended movement of the seat or mirrors could distract the driver and result in a loss of control, potentially leading to an accident, property damage, or serious personal injury.

TIP

  • Please note that if the vehicle battery is disconnected, all stored memory settings will be erased and will need to be reprogrammed.

  • If the Integrated Memory System does not operate as expected, please have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer to ensure the electronic components are functioning correctly.

Storing memory positions

  1. Ensure the Kia K4 shift lever is in P (Park) and the ENGINE START/STOP button is set to the ON position.
  2. Adjust the driver’s seat and both outside rearview mirrors to your preferred, comfortable positions.
  3. Press and hold the memory button (1 or 2). The system will emit a single audible beep, and a notification stating "Driver 1 (or 2) settings saved" will appear on the Kia K4 infotainment screen to confirm the action.

Recalling memory positions

  1. With the Kia K4 in P (Park) and the engine ON, simply press the desired memory button (1 or 2).
  2. The system will provide an audible confirmation beep, and the driver’s seat and outside rearview mirrors will automatically adjust to your saved coordinates. A message, "Driver 1 (or 2) settings applied," will be displayed on the infotainment screen.

Seat easy access

The Seat Easy Access feature in your Kia K4 is designed to facilitate effortless entry and exit by automatically adjusting the seat position.

Exiting the vehicle

  • When the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned to OFF, the gear is in P (Park), and the driver’s door is opened, the seat will move rearward to create additional space. The distance of this movement is customizable via the Settings menu in the Kia K4 infotainment system.

  • Note: The seat may not move rearward if there is insufficient clearance between the driver’s seat and the rear seats.

Entering the vehicle

The seat will return to your preferred driving position when the ENGINE START/STOP button is pressed to the ACC, ON, or START position, or when the driver’s door is closed while carrying the smart key and the ignition is OFF.

You can manage these preferences through the infotainment display:

  • Select: Settings > Vehicle > Seats > Seat Easy Access > Driver seat easy access.
