On Kia EV6 models equipped with a smart key system, the Smart Liftgate with AUTO Open function allows convenient hands-free access to the cargo area without physically touching the liftgate.

The Kia EV6 smart liftgate can automatically open without pressing any button under the following conditions:

• Approximately 15 seconds have passed after all doors were fully closed and locked.

• The smart key remains within the detection zone behind the vehicle for more than 3 seconds.

This convenient Kia EV6 feature is especially useful when carrying shopping bags, luggage, charging accessories, or other cargo items.
