Power liftgate opening speed

To change the Kia EV6 power liftgate opening speed, select Setup > Vehicle > Door > Power Liftgate Opening Speed > Normal/Fast in the infotainment system. The default setting is 'Fast'.

The adjustable speed setting allows Kia EV6 owners to optimize liftgate operation depending on parking environments or personal preference.

Power liftgate opening height

To adjust the Kia EV6 power liftgate opening height, select Setup > Vehicle > Door > Power Liftgate Opening Height > Full Open/Level 3/Level 2/Level 1/User Height Setting in the infotainment system.

Additional details about the Kia EV6 liftgate configuration features can be found in the infotainment system manual supplied with the vehicle.

User height setting

  1. Manually position the Kia EV6 liftgate to the preferred opening height.

  2. Press and hold the power liftgate open/close button located inside the liftgate for more than 3 seconds.

When 'User Height Setting' is selected, the Kia EV6 power liftgate will automatically open to the custom height previously stored by the driver.

TIP

  • If no custom height has been stored, selecting 'User Height Setting' in the Kia EV6 infotainment system will cause the liftgate to fully open.

  • If one of the predefined height settings such as Full Open, Level 3, Level 2, or Level 1 was previously selected and then User Height Setting is activated, the liftgate will operate according to the manually stored position.

  • The Kia EV6 power liftgate opening speed and height preferences are linked to the active user profile. Changing the user profile may automatically adjust these liftgate settings.

Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: Change of distance to empty when 100% charging

If the estimated distance to empty decreases because the Kia EV6 has adapted to your driving style or environmental conditions, the estimated range may increase again when the vehicle is driven according to efficient driving practices. The distance-to-empty value can be reset by a workshop, but this does not increase the actual battery range.
