While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Safety > Safe Exit on the infotainment system screen to configure Safe Exit Warning settings.

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Warning feature can help alert passengers when a vehicle is approaching from behind while exiting the vehicle.

WARNING

If Safe Exit is deselected or turned OFF, the Kia EV6 Safe Exit Warning system cannot provide warnings regarding approaching vehicles.

The driver and passengers must always remain aware of surrounding traffic conditions and possible hazards before opening the doors.

CAUTION

When using a Kia Genuine Trailer Kit and the connector is plugged into the Kia EV6, Safe Exit Warning automatically turns OFF.

In this condition, the Kia EV6 Safe Exit Warning system cannot provide assistance or warning notifications.

Extra caution is required whenever the function is inactive.

A Kia Genuine Trailer Kit allows the Kia EV6 to recognize when a trailer is connected.

NOTE

If the Kia EV6 is restarted, Safe Exit Warning maintains the previously selected system setting.
