Automatic reverse
During power liftgate operation, if the Kia EV6 system detects an obstacle or resistance, the liftgate may stop moving or automatically reverse to the fully open position.
The automatic reverse feature may not function normally, or may activate unexpectedly, under the following circumstances:
The system may not recognize resistance if the force applied is too light or if the liftgate is very close to the fully latched position.
The automatic reverse function may activate unexpectedly if a strong impact or vibration occurs even when no object is blocking the liftgate.
WARNING

TIP
If the automatic reverse function activates more than twice while the Kia EV6 liftgate is opening or closing, the power liftgate system may temporarily stop operating. Carefully move the liftgate manually if necessary, wait approximately 30 seconds, and then operate the power liftgate again.
