The Kia EV6 smart key combines a traditional mechanical emergency key with multiple advanced remote-control functions designed to improve convenience and everyday usability.

The smart key system allows drivers to lock and unlock doors remotely, operate selected convenience functions, and start the Kia EV6 without physically inserting a key into the ignition system.

Never leave the keys inside your Kia EV6 together with unattended children. Leaving children alone inside a vehicle equipped with an EV start system can create extremely dangerous situations.

Children may imitate adults and accidentally press the start button or operate various vehicle controls. This may allow the vehicle to move unexpectedly or activate power-operated systems, which could result in severe injury or even death.

Record your key number

Key code tag supplied with the Kia EV6 smart key The key code number is stamped on the identification tag supplied with the Kia EV6 key set. If the keys are lost, this code allows an authorized Kia dealer to duplicate the keys more efficiently. Remove the key code tag and store it separately in a secure location.   4. Reassemble the smart key by following the removal steps in reverse order.

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control helps the Kia EV6 maintain a safe and appropriate speed by using information from the navigation system while driving on highways or motorways with Smart Cruise Control operating. This feature can support smoother driving by adjusting vehicle behavior according to upcoming road conditions. NOTE Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available only on certain highways and controlled-access roads.

The Kia EV6 instrument cluster displays the currently selected gear position whenever the EV button is in the DRIVE READY or POWER ON mode. P (Park) Always bring the Kia EV6 to a complete stop before shifting into P (Park). To shift from R (Reverse), N (Neutral), or D (Drive) into P (Park), press the [P] button. If the Kia EV6 is switched OFF while stationary, the transmission system automatically shifts into P (Park).
