During severe winter weather conditions, ice may accumulate inside or around the retractable exterior door handles of the Kia EV6, preventing normal operation. In many cases, gently tapping around the handle area can help break the ice and restore movement.
Remove accumulated ice by gently tapping around the perimeter of the Kia EV6 door handle using the bottom of your fist in a circular motion.
|
If necessary, slightly increase the tapping force and repeat the process until the Kia EV6 exterior door handle extends outward when unlocking the vehicle.
Once the handle extends normally, open and close the door several times to remove any remaining ice residue and restore smooth operation.
CAUTION
Before performing this procedure, remove jewelry, rings, or sharp objects that could scratch or damage the paint surface of the Kia EV6. Do not use tools or excessive force to break the ice.
Do not strike the vehicle excessively hard, as dents or cosmetic damage may occur. Use only light to moderate force, similar to knocking on a household door.
