  1. Open the hood of the Kia EV6.

  2. While holding the front trunk lever (1), carefully lift the front trunk cover upward until it opens completely.

The Kia EV6 front trunk provides additional storage space that is especially useful for charging cables, emergency accessories, or smaller travel items.

Closing the front trunk

To close the Kia EV6 front trunk, gently push the front trunk cover downward until it is fully secured.

TIP

Available Front Trunk Weight

  • AWD: 25 lbs. (10 kg)

  • 2WD: 55 lbs. (25 kg)

The available front trunk load capacity in the Kia EV6 varies depending on the drivetrain specification and model configuration.

WARNING

  • NEVER attempt to enter or allow anyone to enter the front trunk compartment. Serious or fatal injury may occur.

  • Before closing the hood, make sure there are no objects or obstructions near the hood opening area. The hood may move unexpectedly if its position is not properly secured, which could result in injury or vehicle damage.

  • Never store cigarette lighters, propane cylinders, aerosol containers, or any flammable or explosive materials inside the Kia EV6 front trunk. Exposure to excessive heat may cause fire or explosion.

CAUTION

  • Do not exceed the maximum cargo capacity of the Kia EV6 front trunk. Excessive weight may damage the storage compartment.

  • Avoid placing delicate or fragile items inside the front trunk storage area.

  • Always ensure the front trunk cover is completely closed and latched before driving. Loose cargo may shift during driving or sudden braking.

  • Do not spray water directly inside the Kia EV6 front trunk. Since the compartment is located near important electrical and motor components, water exposure may damage the vehicle system.

  • Exercise caution when transporting liquids inside the front trunk. Any leakage may damage nearby electronic equipment within the motor compartment.

  • Do not place heavy objects on top of the front trunk cover or apply excessive pressure, as deformation or structural damage may occur.

  • When closing the front trunk cover, ensure stored items do not interfere with proper closing. Improper closure could cause the front trunk to open while driving and result in damage.

NOTE

To reduce the risk of theft, do not leave valuable belongings inside the Kia EV6 storage compartments.

CAUTION

Do not place cargo exceeding the approved Kia EV6 front trunk weight limit inside the compartment, as damage to the motor room area may occur.
