A: Check Driver Assistance system. |
If a malfunction occurs within the Forward/Side/Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist system of the Kia EV6, or if one of its related sensors or control components experiences an issue, a warning message will appear on the instrument cluster. This alert informs the driver that the system may no longer be able to provide reliable collision warnings or automatic braking assistance.
If the warning remains active after restarting the vehicle, or if the system does not operate normally, have your Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible. Prompt diagnosis helps ensure that all parking safety functions continue to perform correctly.

A: Driver Assistance system limited. Ultrasonic sensor blocked. |
The wide-view cameras and ultrasonic sensors installed around the Kia EV6 continuously monitor the vehicle's surroundings. If snow, ice, mud, rain, road salt, dust, or other contaminants accumulate on these sensors, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist may become temporarily restricted or unavailable.
Normal operation generally resumes after the affected sensors are cleaned. To ensure optimal performance, always keep the cameras and ultrasonic sensors free from contamination. If the warning remains visible after cleaning, the Kia EV6 should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE
The Master Warning Light (
) will illuminate in the direction of the affected
sensor whenever an ultrasonic sensor becomes blocked or a malfunction is detected while Parking
Collision-Avoidance Assist is operating.

You can verify the current status of Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist through the service message section in the utility information display of the Kia EV6 instrument cluster.
