Kia EV6: Driver assistance system / Emergency Stop (ES)

Emergency Stop in the Kia EV6 is designed to assist when the system determines that the driver may be unresponsive. When this condition is detected, the system helps keep the vehicle centered in the lane and supports controlled deceleration so the vehicle can be brought to a stop more safely within the driving lane.

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system is designed to help reduce the risk of accidents when passengers exit the vehicle. While the Kia EV6 is stopped, Safe Exit Assist can monitor vehicles approaching from the rear side area and provide visual and audible warnings if a passenger attempts to open a door when a potential collision risk is detected.

The Rear View Monitor image remains active when the following conditions are satisfied: The gear is shifted from R (Reverse) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive). The Kia EV6 speed remains below approximately 6 mph (10 km/h). Non-operating conditions The Extended Rear View Monitor turns OFF under the following conditions: The gear is shifted to P (Park).
