When Emergency Stop is not operating correctly, a warning message and the Master warning light () will
appear
on the
cluster. If this happens, have the Emergency Stop function inspected by an authorized Kia dealer to confirm that
the
system and related driver assistance sensors are working properly.
NOTE
You can check the Emergency Stop status in the service message area of the utility information view on the
Kia
EV6 instrument cluster display.
Limitations of Emergency Stop
For more detailed information about the limitations of Emergency Stop, refer to the limitations of Smart Cruise
Control (SCC) and Lane Following Assist (LFA). Because Emergency Stop uses these driver assistance systems, its
performance may be affected by road markings, traffic conditions, sensor visibility, weather, and the driver
assistance operating environment.
This warning light appears under the following conditions:
When the EV button is switched to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
The Kia EV6 service warning light illuminates for approximately 3 seconds as part of the normal
system self-check process and then turns off automatically.
When the Kia EV6 detects a malfunction related to the electric vehicle control system, including sensors,
control modules, or other EV-related electronic components.
When driving the Kia EV6 in deep snow or on icy roads, it may be necessary to equip the vehicle with winter tires
or
approved snow chains for additional traction.
If winter tires are installed, they should match the original tire size, load rating, and tire type specified for
the
Kia EV6. Using incorrect tire specifications may negatively affect vehicle handling, braking stability, and
overall
driving safety.
