If an accident occurs while operating the Kia EV6 electric vehicle, follow the safety procedures below immediately:
Activate the hazard warning flashers and move the Kia EV6 to a safe location whenever possible.
Prevent other people from approaching the accident area until the situation is secure.
WARNING
If the Kia EV6 high-voltage battery is damaged during a collision, hazardous gases or battery electrolytes may leak from the battery system.
Avoid direct contact with any leaked liquid or unidentified substance.
If leakage of flammable gas or harmful vapor is suspected, open the windows if possible and evacuate immediately to a safe location.
If leaked fluid contacts the eyes or skin, rinse the affected area thoroughly using clean water or saline solution and seek medical attention immediately.
If a fire occurs involving the Kia EV6, evacuate immediately to a safe area and prevent others from approaching the vehicle.
Contact emergency services immediately, report that the incident involves an electric vehicle fire, and follow all instructions provided by emergency responders.
CAUTION
If the Kia EV6 catches fire, remain at a safe distance and wait for firefighters or emergency personnel to arrive.
If the lower section of the vehicle where the high-voltage battery is installed becomes involved in the fire, large amounts of water may be required continuously over an extended period to fully extinguish the battery fire. Attempting to approach the vehicle carelessly may result in electric shock, burns, explosion hazards, or serious injury.
If the Kia EV6 becomes submerged in water while driving, follow these emergency procedures:
Immediately switch the Kia EV6 OFF and evacuate safely with the smart key.
Contact emergency rescue services, such as the fire department, or contact an authorized Kia dealer for assistance.
WARNING
Never touch a submerged Kia EV6. Doing so may result in electric shock, fire, or severe injury.

If towing the Kia EV6 becomes necessary, have the vehicle transported by an authorized Kia dealer or a professional commercial towing service.
Correct towing and lifting procedures are extremely important to prevent damage to the Kia EV6 electric drivetrain, battery system, suspension, and AWD components. The use of wheel dollies (1) or a flatbed tow truck is strongly recommended.
WARNING
Side and curtain air bag
If the Kia EV6 is equipped with side and curtain airbags, place the vehicle in the OFF position before towing. The side and curtain airbags may deploy if the vehicle remains in the POWER ON position and the rollover sensor interprets towing movement as a rollover event.
CAUTION
The Kia EV6 AWD model should never be towed with the wheels directly on the ground. Always use wheel dollies or flatbed towing equipment. Failure to follow this procedure may cause severe damage to the electric power system and AWD drivetrain.
NOTE
The Kia EV6 should not be towed with the tires rolling on the road surface. Wheel dollies or flatbed towing equipment are recommended.
If the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) does not release correctly, transport the Kia EV6 on a flatbed tow truck and have the braking system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
