Kia EV6: Electric vehicle guide / When flatbed is unavailable

• If any loaded wheel, tire, or suspension component is damaged, or if the Kia EV6 must be towed with the driven wheels contacting the road surface, install towing dollies beneath the driven wheels.

• Do not tow the Kia EV6 using sling-type towing equipment. Always use wheel-lift equipment or a flatbed tow truck.

• Do not tow the Kia EV6 forward with the driven wheels on the ground. This may seriously damage the electric drivetrain and related vehicle systems.

• To reduce the risk of severe injury or death caused by electric shock, never touch the Kia EV6 service interlock connector unnecessarily.

• If inspection or maintenance of the service interlock connector is required, have the Kia EV6 serviced by an authorized Kia dealer.

• Disconnect or tamper with the service interlock connector only during an emergency situation. Improper handling may cause serious vehicle malfunctions, including failure of the Kia EV6 to start or operate correctly.

• Do not modify, remodel, or install non-genuine components on the Kia EV6. Unauthorized modifications may negatively affect the high-voltage electrical system, charging performance, or vehicle safety systems.

• The Kia EV6 AWD model should never be towed with its wheels directly on the ground. Doing so may result in severe damage to the electric drive system and AWD components.

• Always exercise extreme caution when working near electrical systems or high-voltage components. A short circuit within the high-voltage system may cause electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Painting, welding, or applying excessive heat treatment to the Kia EV6 body structure after an accident may reduce the durability and performance of the high-voltage battery system. If heat treatment or body repair is required, contact an authorized Kia dealer before performing repairs.

• Use and install only approved Kia Genuine Parts. Third-party accessories, modified electrical parts, or non-approved components may damage the Kia EV6 electric power system or interfere with normal vehicle operation.

Avoid applying excessive force to the high-voltage battery cut-off switch lever while shutting down the battery system. Excessive force may permanently damage the switch mechanism or surrounding electrical components.
