A 2WD Kia EV6 may be towed without dollies only if the wheels not connected to the drive system remain on the ground. Release the parking brake before switching the vehicle OFF.

If towing the Kia EV6 using only two wheels, always lift the driven wheels completely off the ground.

CAUTION

If any loaded wheel, tire, or suspension component is damaged, or if the Kia EV6 must be towed with the driven wheels contacting the road surface, install towing dollies beneath the driven wheels.

Do not tow the Kia EV6 using sling-type towing equipment. Always use wheel-lift equipment or a flatbed tow truck.

Do not tow the Kia EV6 forward with the driven wheels on the ground. This may seriously damage the electric drivetrain and related vehicle systems.

Service interlock connector

The Kia EV6 service interlock connector is a high-voltage safety device located inside the motor compartment. This connector disables the high-voltage battery system during inspection or maintenance procedures performed by authorized Kia technicians.

To access the service interlock connector, open the hood and remove the motor compartment fuse panel ().

WARNING

To reduce the risk of severe injury or death caused by electric shock, never touch the Kia EV6 service interlock connector unnecessarily.

If inspection or maintenance of the service interlock connector is required, have the Kia EV6 serviced by an authorized Kia dealer.

Disconnect or tamper with the service interlock connector only during an emergency situation. Improper handling may cause serious vehicle malfunctions, including failure of the Kia EV6 to start or operate correctly.

NOTE

Avoid applying excessive force to the high-voltage battery cut-off switch lever while shutting down the battery system. Excessive force may permanently damage the switch mechanism or surrounding electrical components.

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Warning (SEW) system is designed to help reduce the risk of accidents when passengers exit the vehicle. While the Kia EV6 is stopped, Safe Exit Warning can monitor vehicles approaching from the rear side area and provide visual and audible warnings if a passenger attempts to open a door when a potential collision risk is detected.

To adjust the steering wheel angle, pull the lock release lever (1) downward. Adjust the steering wheel to the preferred angle (2) and move it forward or backward (3) to achieve the ideal driving position. Pull the lock-release lever (1) upward to securely lock the steering wheel into place. Always confirm that the steering wheel is securely locked in the desired position before driving the Kia EV6.
