Kia EV6: Maintenance / Appearance care

Contents:

Use the following recommendations to keep both the exterior and interior of your Kia EV6 clean, protected, and looking its best throughout years of ownership.

Exterior care

Proper exterior maintenance plays an important role in preserving the appearance, value, and durability of your Kia EV6. Routine cleaning removes contaminants that can damage painted surfaces, trim pieces, and exterior finishes over time. Maintaining a clean exterior not only enhances visual appeal but also helps protect the vehicle from environmental exposure.

Regular washing is particularly important when the Kia EV6 is exposed to road salt, industrial fallout, tree sap, bird droppings, insect residue, coastal air, or other contaminants that may accelerate surface deterioration.

NOTE

If parking your Kia EV6 near stainless steel structures, glass buildings, reflective architectural surfaces, or other highly reflective objects, concentrated sunlight may be redirected onto exterior plastic components such as the bumper, spoiler, exterior trim, lamp housings, or outside mirrors. Extended exposure to reflected sunlight can potentially cause discoloration, deformation, or surface damage.

To help protect the exterior finish of your Kia EV6, avoid parking in locations where intense reflected sunlight may occur. When suitable parking alternatives are unavailable, using a high-quality vehicle cover can provide additional protection. Depending on the specific Kia EV6 model and equipment level, certain exterior trim components such as spoilers or decorative panels may vary in design and material composition.
