The airbag warning light located in the instrument cluster of the Kia EV6 alerts the driver to a potential malfunction within the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), including the front, side, and curtain airbags used for rollover protection.

If the airbag warning light remains illuminated for more than approximately six seconds after turning the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position, or if the light appears while driving the Kia EV6, one or more SRS components may not be functioning correctly. In this situation, the vehicle should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.

If any of the following conditions occur, this may indicate a malfunction within the Kia EV6 airbag system. Have the SRS system professionally inspected without delay.

• The warning light does not illuminate briefly after switching the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

• The warning light remains illuminated after approximately 3–6 seconds.

• The warning light illuminates while the Kia EV6 is being driven.

• The warning light blinks continuously after turning the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
