- Vehicle personalization with Digital Key 2 Touch
When a registered digital key is linked to a user profile, the Kia Seltos can automatically apply selected vehicle settings when that digital key is used. This may include door lock and unlock behavior with Digital Key 2 Touch and other personalized settings available through the infotainment system.
User profile linking and personalization are available for up to two drivers, allowing the Kia Seltos to provide a more convenient and customized driving experience for regular users.
Linking / Unlinking profile
How to link user profile
-
Select 'Setup → User Profile → Profile Setting → Link Digital Key (Smartphone)' on the infotainment system settings menu.
-
If you select 'Link', the digital key registered to the phone number and the selected user profile will be linked. Follow the instructions shown on the infotainment system screen.
-
When the process is complete, the message 'Digital Key Link Complete.' will appear on the infotainment system screen.
How to unlink user profile
-
Unlink the digital key from the User Profile settings. Unlinking is available only when a user profile is currently linked.
-
When unlinking is complete, the message 'Digital key is unlinked.' will appear on the infotainment system screen.
NOTICE
-
The infotainment system may change after software updates. For the latest menu names, screen layout, and detailed operation, refer to the user's manual provided in the Kia Seltos infotainment system and the quick reference guide.
-
A single smart phone cannot be linked to both Driver 1 and Driver 2 profiles at the same time. Personalization will operate with the most recently linked user profile, and the previously linked profile will be automatically canceled.
-
A user profile can be linked only when a digital key is registered on both the smart phone and the Kia Seltos. A smart phone containing another vehicle's digital key cannot be linked to this vehicle profile.
-
If you remove the smart phone from the in-vehicle authentication pad or wireless charging pad before the profile linking process is complete, the link will not be saved.
-
If the user-profile-linked digital key is deleted from the smart phone, the digital key must be registered again and the user profile must be linked again to restore personalization.
-
The NFC card key cannot be linked with a personalized profile.
Vehicle personalization operation
The personalization function linked with Kia Seltos Digital Key 2 Touch operates under the following conditions:
-
Touch the driver's door handle with the profile-linked smart phone to lock or unlock the doors. Personalization does not operate when locking or unlocking the front passenger door.
-
The personalization function using the digital key becomes available after the digital key is linked through the infotainment system profile menu.
-
The personalization function works only when the vehicle is OFF or when the Kia Seltos has been started remotely. If the vehicle is not started remotely, personalization with the digital key may not operate.
NOTICE
