Kia Seltos: Digital Key 2 Touch / Limitations of the System

Digital Key 2 Touch may not work properly if any of the following occurs:

The smart phone battery or the vehicle battery is discharged.

NFC or Bluetooth is turned off in the smart phone settings.

A credit card is placed on the back of the smart phone, or a metal or thick smart phone case is used.

The card key is used together with other cards, or it is kept inside a wallet or card holder.

Electronic interference is caused by nearby vehicles, devices, or other objects.

A communication error may occur with the Digital Key 2 Touch NFC function if a metallic cover or communication device is attached to the smart phone. If a malfunction occurs, remove the cover or accessory from the smart phone and try again.

Your Kia Seltos may not be controlled by the smart phone if any of the following occurs:

Basic smart phone functions are in use, such as a general call, emergency call, audio playback, or NFC payment.

Wireless earphones are being used for a general call, emergency call, or audio playback.

The Digital Key 2 Touch app function is limited by smart phone default settings, background restrictions, or the app launch priority policy set by the smart phone manufacturer.

Operation of this Kia Seltos device is subject to the following two conditions:

This device may not cause harmful interference.

This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
NOTICE
Changes or modifications that are not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance may void the user's authority to operate this equipment. If the Kia Seltos digital key becomes inoperative because of unauthorized changes or modifications, the repair may not be covered by the manufacturer's vehicle warranty.

NOTICE HDA is available only on controlled-access roads of certain highways.
