Kia Seltos: Features of your vehicle / Interior lights

The Kia Seltos is equipped with interior lights throughout the cabin to improve visibility and convenience when entering, exiting, or locating items inside the vehicle.
Automatic turn off function
The interior lights automatically turn off approximately 20 minutes after the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned off if the lights remain in the ON position.
If the Kia Seltos is equipped with a theft alarm system, the interior lights automatically turn off approximately 5 seconds after the system is armed.
This automatic turn off function helps reduce unnecessary battery drain when interior lighting is left on.
Map lamp
Type A
Type B

Touch position (1) to turn on the map lamp. (Type A)

Press position (1) to turn on the map lamp. (Type B)
To turn the map lamp OFF, press the lens (1) again.

(2): DOOR mode-
The map lamp and room lamp turn on when a door is opened. The lamps turn off after approximately 30 seconds.

The map lamp and room lamp turn on for approximately 30 seconds when the doors are unlocked with a smart key and the doors are not opened.

The map lamp and room lamp stay on for approximately 20 minutes if a door is opened while the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ACC or OFF position.

The map lamp and room lamp stay on continuously if a door is opened while the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position.

The map lamp and room lamp turn off immediately if the ENGINE START/STOP button is changed to the ON position or if all doors are locked.

To turn off DOOR mode, press the DOOR button (2) again so it is not pressed.

(3): Press this switch to turn the front and rear room lamps on or off.
NOTICE
The DOOR mode and ROOM mode cannot be selected at the same time.
Room lamp

Type B
Press the switch to turn the Kia Seltos room lamp on or off. This light helps illuminate the cabin for passengers when entering, exiting, or looking for items inside the vehicle.
Luggage room lamp
The luggage room lamp turns on when the liftgate is opened, helping illuminate the cargo area of the Kia Seltos.
CAUTION
The luggage room lamp turns on when the liftgate is open. To prevent unnecessary battery drain, close the liftgate securely after using the luggage room.
Vanity mirror lamp
Push the switch to turn the vanity mirror lamp on or off. If equipped, this light provides convenient illumination when using the mirror in the sun visor.

CAUTION
Vanity mirror lamp
Always close the vanity mirror lid with the lamp in the OFF position when the mirror is not in use. If the sun visor is closed while the lamp remains on, it may discharge the battery or damage the sun visor.
Glove box lamp
The glove box lamp turns on when the Kia Seltos glove box is opened, making it easier to see stored items at night or in low-light conditions.
CAUTION
To prevent unnecessary battery drain, close the glove box securely after use.
