Kia Seltos: Door locks / Door lock/unlock features

The Kia Seltos is equipped with door lock and unlock features designed to improve passenger safety and everyday convenience.

Impact sensing door unlock system

All doors will automatically unlock when an impact causes the air bags to deploy. This feature is designed to help occupants exit the vehicle more easily after a collision.

Speed sensing door lock system

All doors will automatically lock after the Kia Seltos speed exceeds 10 mph (15 km/h).

To activate or deactivate the automatic door lock and unlock features, select 'User Settings → Door → Auto Lock/Auto Unlock' on the instrument cluster, or select 'Setup → Vehicle → Door → Auto Lock/Auto Unlock' on the infotainment system.

The remote keyless entry system allows you to lock and unlock the Kia Seltos doors from a distance for convenience and security. If all doors are closed, the hazard warning lights will blink, and the chime will sound once for the smart key to confirm that all doors are locked.

Type A Type B The Kia Seltos outside temperature gauge shows the current outside air temperature in 1 °F or 1 °C increments. Temperature range: -40 °F ~ 140 °F (-40 °C ~ 60 °C) The outside temperature shown on the display may not change immediately like a standard thermometer. This delay helps prevent frequent display changes that could distract the driver while operating the Kia Seltos.
