Kia Seltos: Door locks / Door lock/unlock features

The Kia Seltos is equipped with door lock and unlock features designed to improve passenger safety and everyday convenience.
Impact sensing door unlock system
All doors will automatically unlock when an impact causes the air bags to deploy. This feature is designed to help occupants exit the vehicle more easily after a collision.
Speed sensing door lock system
All doors will automatically lock after the Kia Seltos speed exceeds 10 mph (15 km/h).
To activate or deactivate the automatic door lock and unlock features, select 'User Settings → Door → Auto Lock/Auto Unlock' on the instrument cluster, or select 'Setup → Vehicle → Door → Auto Lock/Auto Unlock' on the infotainment system.

To install the fuel cap on the Kia Seltos, turn it clockwise until it clicks one time. This click indicates that the cap is securely tightened and properly sealed. Close the fuel filler door and press it lightly to make sure it is fully closed and flush with the body of the vehicle. Safe Exit Warning (SEW) in the Kia Seltos is designed to help protect occupants when the vehicle is stopped. If an approaching vehicle from the rear area is detected as a passenger opens a door, SEW may warn the driver with a warning message and an audible alert to help reduce the risk of a collision. CAUTION The warning timing may vary depending on the speed of the approaching vehicle and the surrounding traffic conditions.
