Checking the washer fluid level
The windshield washer fluid reservoir in the Kia K4 is constructed from a semi-translucent material, allowing for a quick and easy visual confirmation of the fluid level without needing to remove the cap.

Regularly inspect the volume of fluid in the reservoir and top it off as needed to ensure optimal visibility. While plain water is sufficient in mild weather, we strongly recommend using a dedicated windshield washer solvent with integrated antifreeze properties, especially in colder climates, to prevent the fluid from freezing in the lines or the reservoir.

Washer fluid safety and handling

Never add radiator coolant or engine antifreeze to the Kia K4 washer fluid reservoir.

If radiator coolant is sprayed onto the windshield, it creates an oily film that severely obscures visibility, which could lead to a loss of vehicle control. Furthermore, such fluids can permanently damage the exterior paint and rubber trim of your Kia K4.

Windshield washer fluid typically contains significant amounts of alcohol and is flammable. Do not allow any open flames, sparks, or heat sources to come into contact with the fluid or the reservoir, as this poses a serious risk of fire, vehicle damage, or personal injury.

Windshield washer fluid is poisonous to both humans and animals. Never ingest the fluid and avoid skin contact; ingestion can result in severe illness, permanent injury, or death.
