The Kia K4 features a highly adjustable tilt and telescopic steering wheel, allowing you to fine-tune the driving position to your exact preferences before setting off. This versatile system also enables you to raise the wheel to its highest position, providing additional legroom for effortless entry and exit from the Kia K4.
For the safest and most comfortable driving experience, the steering wheel should be positioned so that it feels natural during operation while ensuring you have a clear, unobstructed view of all instrument panel gauges and warning lights.
WARNING
Steering wheel adjustment
Never attempt to adjust the angle or height of the steering wheel while the Kia K4 is in motion. Making adjustments while driving can lead to a sudden loss of steering control, potentially resulting in an accident.

To release the steering column, pull down the lock release lever located underneath the steering column.
Adjust the steering wheel to your desired angle (tilt) and distance (telescopic reach). Position the wheel so that it points comfortably toward your chest rather than your face. Ensure that your view of the instrument panel remains clear. Once positioned, push the lock release lever firmly back up to secure the column.
After locking, firmly push the steering wheel up and down to verify that it is securely locked into place.
Always complete your steering wheel adjustments in the Kia K4 before you begin driving.
TIP
Occasionally, the lock-release lever may not fully engage upon the first attempt. If the steering wheel does not feel completely locked, simply unlock the lever and adjust the angle or height slightly again; this is not a malfunction, but rather a characteristic of the gear engagement mechanism.
