Smart Cruise Control
To personalize your driving experience, ensure your Kia K4 is powered ON, then access the infotainment system screen. Navigate to: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control. Within this menu, you can fine-tune the distance, acceleration, and reaction speed parameters to align with your personal preferences for your Kia K4.

With your Kia K4 powered ON, navigate to: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control > Based on Driving Style. When this feature is active, your Kia K4 intelligently modifies its cruise control behavior by analyzing your unique driving profile—including how you manage inter-vehicle distances, your preferred acceleration curves, and typical response times.
This adaptive technology allows the Kia K4 to provide a more intuitive and seamless cruising experience. Furthermore, you retain the ability to manually adjust these driving style metrics to better suit current road conditions or personal comfort levels.

If your specific Kia K4 trim includes the "Based on Driving Style" feature, you can toggle between "Based on driving mode" and "Based on driving style" by navigating to: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control on the infotainment display.

While Smart Cruise Control is active in "Based on driving style" mode, pressing and holding the Vehicle Distance (
) button will disable the driving mode integration. To revert to "Based on driving style," simply press and hold the same Vehicle Distance (
) button again. -
The Kia K4 system actively learns and refines your driving profile only while the vehicle is currently being driven.

If you choose to disable the "Based on Driving Style" function, your previously learned metrics—such as inter-vehicle distance, acceleration rate, and system response speed—will remain at the most recent level set by the system.

Be aware that even if the "Based on Driving Style" function is toggled on or off, the visual feedback regarding your driving style parameters may fluctuate, as the Kia K4 constanty evaluates live data compared to historical inputs.

These advanced assistance functions in the Kia K4 may experience abnormal operation or unexpected deactivation under certain circumstances, including: The ambient temperature surrounding the front or rear-side radar sensors is outside of the safe operating range (too high or too low). To ensure maximum protection, occupants must wear their seat belts whenever the Kia K4 is in motion: The shoulder belt should be adjusted to rest midway over the shoulder and across the collarbone, never against the neck. For safety reasons, never allow children to ride in the front passenger seat.
