To customize the alert behavior of your Kia K4 while the vehicle is powered ON, navigate through the infotainment screen by selecting: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Warning Methods. Within this menu, you can tailor your driving experience by adjusting the following settings:
Parking Safety Priority: This feature automatically lowers the volume of all other active audio sources when the Rear View Monitor is engaged, ensuring you remain focused on your surroundings while parking your Kia K4.
TIP
Adjusting these Warning Methods in your Kia K4 may also globally apply to the alert configurations of other integrated driver assistance systems.
The system is designed to remember your preferences; Warning Methods will maintain their last selected settings even after you turn OFF and subsequently restart the Kia K4.
Please note that depending on your specific vehicle configuration or trim level, the Warning Methods setting menu may not be available on all models.

While your Kia K4 is powered ON, you can access and modify your Rear View Monitor settings by tapping the setup icon or by navigating to: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Camera Settings on the infotainment system display.
Extended Rear View Monitor
When you enable the Extended Rear View Monitor feature, the rear camera feed will remain visible on the screen even after you shift from R (Reverse) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive), providing extra visibility during multi-step parking maneuvers.
Rear View Parking Guidance
Activating this setting enables dynamic parking trajectory lines. Both the Rear View Parking Guidance and the Top Rear View Parking Guidance will appear on your Kia K4 monitor to assist in accurate positioning.
Display settings
You can fine-tune the visual quality of the camera feed by adjusting the brightness (separate settings for day and night modes) and contrast directly within the Display settings menu.

Some settings may be restricted depending on the specific equipment and technical specifications of your Kia K4.
The horizontal lines shown in the Rear View Parking Guidance indicate the distance from the rear bumper: 20 in (0.5 m), 40 in (1 m), and 91 in (2.3 m).
The horizontal scale in Top View Parking Guidance helps you gauge the distance for liftgate clearance, marking the 60 in (1.5 m) point from your Kia K4.
