  • Always move the Kia K4 completely off the road and onto a stable, level shoulder before changing a tire. If you cannot find firm, level ground, contact a professional towing service for assistance.

  • Always use the specific front and rear jacking points designed for the Kia K4. Never place the jack under the bumpers or any non-reinforced body panels.

  • Failure to properly secure the vehicle may cause it to roll off the jack, potentially resulting in serious injury or death.

  • Never go underneath a vehicle supported only by a jack.

  • Do not start or run the engine while the vehicle is raised on the jack.

  • Do not allow any occupants to remain inside the Kia K4 while it is elevated.

Removing and storing the spare tire

1. To access the spare tire, locate and turn the tire hold-down wing bolt (1) in a counterclockwise direction until it is fully removed.

2. To store the tire back in your Kia K4, follow these steps in the exact reverse order of removal, ensuring it is securely fastened.

3. Properly store the spare tire and all emergency tools to prevent "rattling" or movement while your Kia K4 is in motion.

If the tire hold-down wing bolt is tightened securely and difficult to loosen by hand, you can easily release it using the provided jack handle.

1. Insert the flat end of the jack handle (1) into the slot of the tire hold-down wing bolt.

2. Turn the wing bolt counterclockwise using the jack handle. Please use extreme caution, as the jack handle may have sharp edges.

Important - use of compact spare tire

Your Kia K4 may be equipped with a compact spare tire. This space-saving design is smaller than a conventional tire and is engineered strictly for temporary emergency use.

• Drive with extra caution whenever the compact spare is in use. It is recommended to have your original full-size tire repaired or replaced and reinstalled as soon as possible.

• For safety reasons, do not operate the Kia K4 with more than one compact spare tire installed at the same time.

The compact spare tire in your Kia K4 should be maintained at an inflation pressure of 60 psi (420 kPa).

NOTE

When using a compact spare tire, you must observe the following critical precautions:
