To personalize your driving experience in the Kia K4, utilize the adjustment levers located on the outboard side of the seat cushion to modify the position and recline.
Always perform seat adjustments before putting the Kia K4 in motion. Once you have reached your desired position, verify the seat is securely locked by attempting to shift the seat forward or backward without engaging the lever. If the seat shifts at all, it is not properly latched into the floor track.

Reclining seatback hazards
Sitting in a deeply reclined position while the Kia K4 is in motion is extremely dangerous. Even when your seat belt is fastened, an excessively reclined seatback significantly negates the protection provided by your seat belts and air bags.
Seat belts must remain snug across your hips and chest to function as intended during a collision. When the seatback is heavily reclined, the shoulder belt cannot maintain proper contact with your chest. In the event of an accident, you risk being thrown into the seat belt or, even worse, sliding underneath the lap portion of the belt (submarining). This significantly increases the risk of sustaining severe neck, abdominal, spinal, or other internal injuries. The greater the recline angle, the higher the probability of these life-threatening events occurring.
