For fuses located within the engine compartment fuse panel of your Kia K4, follow these maintenance steps:
- Verify that the ENGINE START/STOP button and all vehicle systems are in the OFF position.
- Open the engine compartment and remove the fuse panel cover by depressing the retaining tabs and lifting the cover upward.
- Use the integrated fuse puller located inside the engine compartment fuse panel to extract the suspected fuse.
- Examine the fuse element. If it is blown, use the puller to insert a new fuse of the exact same rating.
- Ensure the replacement fuse is seated firmly in the clips. If the fit is loose, seek professional assistance from an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE
After inspecting or replacing fuses, ensure the engine compartment fuse panel cover is snapped securely back into place. You should hear an audible "click" confirming the seal; if not properly secured, moisture or water ingress could cause severe electrical failures in your Kia K4.

- Replace the damaged multi-fuse with a new, genuine Kia replacement part of the exact same amperage rating. Never substitute with a different capacity.
- Reinstall the new fuse by following the removal steps in reverse order, ensuring all nuts are tightened to the correct specification to prevent poor electrical contact.
NOTE
After replacing the main fuse, visually inspect the battery terminal cap to ensure it is latched and closed securely.
