Blind-Spot Safety

To configure the Blind-Spot Safety system while your Kia K4 is powered ON, access the infotainment screen and navigate to: Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Safety > Blind-Spot Safety.
The Blind-Spot Safety feature empowers the Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) system in your Kia K4 to provide active warnings and, when necessary, braking assistance tailored to the detected level of collision risk.

When you enable Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist or restart your Kia K4 with the feature already active, the integrated warning light on the outside rearview mirror will illuminate for approximately 3 seconds as a self-check confirmation. Conversely, if you restart the Kia K4 with the system deactivated, a reminder message will appear on the instrument cluster to inform you of the current system status.
TIP
If you choose to turn OFF Blind-Spot Safety, always remain highly vigilant of your surroundings, as you must rely solely on your own observations for safe lane changes in your Kia K4.
NOTE
The Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist system in the Kia K4 is designed to remember your last configuration; it will maintain your chosen settings whenever the vehicle is restarted.
