Every new Kia K4 model is backed by a comprehensive Roadside Assistance program. This coverage begins on the vehicle's in-service date—defined as the date the vehicle is delivered to its first retail buyer or otherwise put into use—and remains valid for a period of 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Please consult the Kia Warranty and Consumer Information Manual specifically applicable to your Kia K4 model year for a complete breakdown of terms, conditions, and specific exclusions.

Kia America, Inc. retains the right to limit, restrict, or deny service benefits if, in the company's professional judgment, service requests or claims are deemed excessive in frequency or fall outside the scope of standard roadside assistance protocols.

Toll-free consumer assistance

Should you require direct support, toll-free consumer assistance for your Kia K4 is available Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST. You may reach our dedicated support team by calling 1-800-333-4542.

Emergency roadside assistance

Professional emergency roadside assistance for your Kia K4 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can request help by calling 1-800-333-4542 or, if you are actively enrolled in Kia Connect, by pressing the dedicated RSA (Roadside Assistance) button located within your vehicle's interface.

To verify your coverage when you call, you must provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You can locate your VIN on the driver-side dashboard, the driver-side door jamb, your vehicle registration documents, or your official proof of insurance card.

Kia maintains an extensive network of over 30,000 professional roadside service providers ready to assist you. Whether you find yourself running out of fuel, requiring a battery jump-start, or needing assistance with a flat tire, a Kia Roadside Assistance Representative will dispatch a technician to deliver a small quantity of fuel, replace your flat tire with your vehicle's properly inflated spare, or provide a jump-start to help you resume your journey. Furthermore, should you accidentally lock your keys inside your Kia K4, we have access to a nationwide network of over 10,000 locksmiths to get you back on the road.

If a mechanical issue renders your Kia K4 undrivable due to a warranty-related concern, a Kia Roadside Assistance Representative will coordinate the transport of your vehicle to the nearest Kia dealer or an authorized alternative service facility. Please note that for this service to be performed, the vehicle must be situated in a location accessible to the dispatched transport carrier, as determined by the transport driver.

TIP

Roadside Assistance benefits are not applicable to any Kia vehicle that has been issued a “salvage” title or any other “branded” title under state law. Additionally, coverage is void for any vehicle that has been declared a “total loss” or equivalent by an insurance company or financial institution.

Trip interruption

If your Kia K4 experiences a warranty-related mechanical failure while you are traveling more than 150 miles from your primary residence, and the necessary repairs require more than 24 hours to complete, you may be eligible for trip interruption expense benefits. This coverage provides reasonable reimbursement for expenses such as meals, lodging, and temporary rental vehicle costs. Trip interruption benefits for your Kia K4 are limited to a maximum of $100 per day, up to a 3-day limit per incident.

To qualify for these benefits, you must contact the Kia Roadside Assistance Center to secure preauthorization for your expenses. Once authorization is granted, a representative will assist you in coordinating the necessary arrangements to ensure your comfort and continued travel. Please note that expenses, insurance deductibles, or claims already covered or paid by your personal insurance company or other third-party providers are ineligible for reimbursement under this program.

Fleet vehicles are strictly excluded from reimbursement under Kia’s Trip Interruption Policy.

Registering your Kia K4 in a foreign country

If you intend to export and register your Kia K4 in a foreign country, you must ensure that the vehicle strictly conforms to all local safety and emissions regulations in that jurisdiction. Even if you are successful in the registration process, please be aware of the following potential challenges:

  1. Fuel Compatibility: The fuel specifications required for optimal performance of your Kia K4 may not be readily available in the new country. Utilizing non-compliant or inferior fuel grades can cause significant damage to the engine, fuel injection system, and other powertrain components. Please be aware that such damage may not be covered under your New Vehicle Emissions Limited Warranty.

  2. Service and Parts Availability: Beyond fuel quality concerns, you may find that the specialized diagnostic tools, genuine parts, and expert service techniques required to maintain your Kia K4 are unavailable in the new country of registration, as specific models or configurations may not be marketed there. Even if the Kia K4 is sold in that region, mechanical and software specifications mandated by the local government may differ significantly from your original vehicle, leading to complex compatibility issues.

  3. Dealer Support: There may be no authorized Kia dealer located in proximity to your new destination. The absence of authorized service facilities can make obtaining routine maintenance, warranty work, or emergency repairs difficult or impossible.

We strongly recommend evaluating these logistical and technical factors before relocating your Kia K4 to another country.
