Kia EV6: Maintenance / Wiper Blades

Contents:

When the windshield wipers no longer clean the windshield effectively, the wiper blades may be worn, hardened, cracked, or damaged and should be replaced.

To prevent damage to the wiper mechanism, wiper arms, or related components, never move the wiper blades manually.

The use of non-approved wiper blades on the Kia EV6 may lead to poor wiping performance, excessive noise, or premature failure.

Blade Inspection

Commercial hot-wax treatments used by some automatic vehicle washes can reduce windshield cleanliness and negatively affect wiper performance.

Contamination on either the windshield or the wiper blades can significantly reduce wiping effectiveness. Common contaminants include insects, tree sap, road film, dust, pollen, and wax residues.

If the wiper blades on your Kia EV6 do not clean properly, thoroughly clean both the windshield and the blades using a quality glass cleaner or mild detergent solution, then rinse with clean water.

CAUTION

Wiper Blades

To prevent damage to the wiper blades, never use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner, solvents, or other aggressive chemicals on or near the blades.

Replacing Front Windshield Wiper Blade

The system warns the driver of a potential collision through visual alerts, warning messages, and audible notifications.
