Buzzer emits a continuous warning tone. |
Whenever an ultrasonic sensor detects a pedestrian, animal, vehicle, wall, or other obstacle within its operating range, the corresponding visual warning appears and an audible alert is generated.
If multiple obstacles are detected simultaneously, the Kia EV6 prioritizes the nearest object and bases the warning sound on that distance.
The actual appearance of the indicators may vary slightly depending on the vehicle software version and display configuration.
For maximum effectiveness, always monitor the surroundings visually even when the Parking Distance Warning system is active.

A: Check Driver Assistance system |
If the Parking Distance Warning system or any related component develops a fault, a warning message will appear on the instrument cluster of your Kia EV6.
Detailed information can be viewed through the service message section in the utility information display. If the warning remains active or the system does not function correctly, have the Kia EV6 inspected by an authorized Kia dealer or qualified service center.

A: Driver Assistance system limited. Ultrasonic sensor blocked. |
The ultrasonic sensors installed around the Kia EV6 continuously monitor nearby objects. If dirt, mud, snow, ice, heavy rain, or other contaminants cover the sensors, Parking Distance Warning performance may be temporarily reduced or completely unavailable.
You can verify the status of the affected sensor through the service message displayed in the cluster information menu. Cleaning the sensor area generally restores normal operation. Always keep the sensor surfaces free of contamination to ensure reliable performance. If the warning remains after cleaning, have the system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE
The Master Warning Light (
) may illuminate in the direction of the affected
sensor
whenever a malfunction occurs or an ultrasonic sensor becomes blocked while the Parking Distance
Warning
system is operating. Additional details can be reviewed in the cluster service message screen.

The Parking Distance Warning system in the Kia EV6 may not function as intended or may provide inaccurate information under certain environmental and operating conditions.
Moisture has frozen directly onto the sensor surface.
The sensor is covered by snow, ice, mud, dust, or water deposits. Normal operation resumes once the obstruction is removed.
Ambient temperatures are extremely high or extremely low.
The ultrasonic sensor or its mounting assembly has been damaged.
The sensor surface has been subjected to excessive force or impact.
The sensor has been scratched or damaged by a sharp object.
High-pressure water is sprayed directly onto the sensors or surrounding area.
The Parking Distance Warning system may also behave unexpectedly when:
Heavy rain, spray, or standing water is present.
Water is flowing continuously across the sensor surface.
Signals from nearby vehicles interfere with the ultrasonic sensors.
The sensors are covered by accumulated snow or ice.
The vehicle is traveling on rough, uneven, gravel, or heavily vegetated roads.
Nearby devices or objects generate ultrasonic frequencies.
The license plate has been relocated from its original mounting position.
The bumper height or sensor installation position has been altered.
Aftermarket accessories or equipment have been installed close to the sensors.
Strong ultrasonic sources, such as air brakes, vehicle horns, or motorcycle engines, are operating nearby.
The following types of objects may not be detected reliably:
Thin objects such as ropes, wires, chains, or narrow posts.
Sharp corners and narrow edges of structures.
Materials that absorb ultrasonic waves, including clothing, soft foam, or snow.
Objects shorter than 100 cm (40 in) and narrower than 14 cm (6 in).
Pedestrians, animals, or obstacles positioned extremely close to the sensors.
Objects approaching through the side detection area between the front and rear ultrasonic sensors.
WARNING
The Kia EV6 Parking Distance Warning system is intended as a driver-assistance feature only. It does not replace safe driving practices or careful observation of the vehicle's surroundings.
Vehicle damage or accidents caused by improper reliance on the Parking Distance Warning system are not covered under the new vehicle warranty.
Always remain alert around obstacles, pedestrians, cyclists, and especially children, as certain objects may not be detected due to their size, shape, location, or material composition.
Warning timing and detection priority can vary depending on vehicle speed and the characteristics of the detected object.
If the Parking Distance Warning system in your Kia EV6 does not operate correctly, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.

Forward/backward seat adjustment Seat cushion height adjustment Seatback recline angle adjustment Use the manual adjustment levers located on the outer side of the Kia EV6 seat cushion to adjust the front seat position. Proper seat adjustment improves driving comfort, visibility, and control of the Kia EV6 steering wheel, pedals, and dashboard controls.Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: All Wheel Drive (AWD) system: (if equipped)
When the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system is active in the Kia EV6, driving force is automatically distributed between the front and rear wheels according to current traction conditions. The AWD system improves overall driving performance and vehicle stability on difficult road surfaces such as steep hills, muddy terrain, wet roads, gravel, sand, snow, and other low-traction environments.
