Contents:

  • Pull and hold the left-side ( Kia EV6 one pedal driving left paddle shifter icon) Kia EV6 paddle shifter while coasting.

  • When the Kia EV6 speed exceeds approximately 2 mph (3 km/h), the regenerative braking level returns to the previously selected setting after the paddle shifter is released.

  • When the Kia EV6 speed drops below approximately 2 mph (3 km/h), vehicle stopping control remains active even after the paddle shifter is released.

  • While the Kia EV6 One Pedal Driving function is active, the accelerator pedal can still be used to precisely control the vehicle stopping position.

Automatic engagement of EPB

After the Kia EV6 is brought to a stop using the One Pedal Driving system, the EPB automatically engages when any of the following conditions occur:

  • The gear is shifted into P (Park).

  • The Kia EV6 driver’s door is opened.

  • The hood is opened.

  • The liftgate is opened.

  • Approximately 5 minutes have passed after the Kia EV6 has stopped.

  • The system operation becomes limited for other safety-related reasons.

WARNING

  • Do not rely exclusively on the Kia EV6 One Pedal Driving system to stop the vehicle. Depending on road conditions, tire grip, slope angle, and traffic situations, additional brake pedal input may be required.

  • Avoid suddenly increasing the Kia EV6 regenerative braking level on slippery roads, including snow-covered or icy surfaces, because excessive regenerative braking may cause wheel slip or vehicle skidding, reducing steering stability and vehicle control.

NOTE

When the Kia EV6 is stopped or parked on a steep incline using One Pedal Driving, always depress the brake pedal to help maintain safe vehicle positioning.

i-Pedal

Kia EV6 i-Pedal technology allows the accelerator pedal to control both acceleration and deceleration without requiring frequent manual paddle shifter operation.

The Kia EV6 i-Pedal system provides smooth vehicle speed control, including acceleration, slowing, and stopping functions, while maximizing regenerative braking efficiency.
