The Warning Methods can be configured while the Kia EV6 is turned on. Select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Kia EV6 Warning Methods settings icon (Warning Methods) from the infotainment system settings menu to adjust the following options:

  • Parking Safety Priority: Automatically lowers the volume of other audio sources whenever the Kia EV6 Surround View Monitor or parking safety systems are active.

TIP

  • Your selected Warning Methods settings may also apply to other Kia EV6 driver assistance features.

  • The Warning Methods settings remain stored even after the Kia EV6 is turned OFF and restarted.

  • The Warning Methods menu may not be available depending on vehicle specification, software version, or regional configuration.

While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, tap the setup icon (Kia EV6 camera settings icon) or select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Camera Settings on the infotainment screen to adjust Surround View Monitor and Rear View Monitor settings.

  • Display Contents: Allows the driver to choose which information and guidance indicators appear on the Kia EV6 parking assistance screen.

Parking Distance Warning

If Parking Distance Warning is selected, the parking distance warning information appears on the right side of the Kia EV6 Surround View Monitor top-view screen.

Rear View Parking Guidance

If Rear View Parking Guidance is selected, rear parking guidelines are displayed in the rear camera view to help improve parking precision.

Top View Parking Guidance

If Top View Parking Guidance is selected in the display information menu, Top View Parking Guidance appears on the right side of the Surround View Monitor screen whenever the Kia EV6 front top view or rear top view is activated.

NOTE

  • The Warning Methods menu may not be available on every Kia EV6 model or trim level.

  • The horizontal guidelines shown in Rear View Parking Guidance indicate approximate distances of 0.5 m, 1 m, and 2.3 m from the Kia EV6.

  • The horizontal scale shown in the Rear Top View Parking Guidance indicates the approximate liftgate opening distance and 2 m from the vehicle.

Surround View Monitor Auto On

While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Surround View Monitor Auto On in the infotainment system to activate the automatic Surround View Monitor feature.

Roadside Assistance coverage is provided for all new Kia EV6 vehicles and other eligible current model-year Kia vehicles beginning on the date of delivery to the original retail owner or the date the vehicle is first placed into service, whichever occurs first. Coverage remains in effect for up to 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, and is subject to the specific terms, limitations, exclusions, and conditions outlined in the Kia Warranty and Consumer Information Manual applicable to your Kia EV6 model year.
