This Kia EV6 message appears on the LCD instrument cluster display under the following operating conditions:

  1. The Kia EV6 is traveling at a speed that is too high to safely change gear positions. Reduce vehicle speed before attempting to shift gears.

  2. The driver attempts to shift gears while the Kia EV6 is operating in Utility Mode.

Safe and responsible driving habits help reduce accident risk and support long-term Kia EV6 performance, efficiency, and driving stability.

  • Never shift the Kia EV6 from P (Park) or N (Neutral) into another gear position while the accelerator pedal is depressed.

When approaching the Kia EV6 within approximately 1 ft. (30 cm) of either the driver’s or front passenger’s door while carrying the registered smart key, the exterior door handles automatically extend outward and the doors unlock for convenient entry. At the same time, the hazard warning lights flash twice and the confirmation chime sounds twice, notifying the driver that the Kia EV6 has recognized the smart key and unlocked the vehicle successfully.
