Kia EV6: Fingerprint authentication system : (if equipped) / Settings for the fingerprint authentication system

To use the Kia EV6 fingerprint authentication system, you must first enroll your fingerprint within the selected driver profile. Follow the instructions below to register or delete fingerprints through the infotainment display.

Enrolling fingerprint

1. Switch the Kia EV6 to the POWER ON position.

2. Select Setup > User Profile > Driver 1 ( > or Driver 2) > Fingerprint Identification > Set/Delete Fingerprint > Set within the Kia EV6 infotainment system.

3. Place the finger you want to register gently on the fingerprint sensor (A) following the on-screen instructions. Applying excessive pressure may prevent successful fingerprint recognition.

4. Follow the infotainment prompts and place different areas of your fingertip on the sensor until the scanning process is fully completed.

5. When scanning is complete, the message Saving fingerprint... appears, and the Kia EV6 fingerprint enrollment process finishes automatically.

6. After enrollment is complete, the registration status is displayed on the infotainment system screen.

   • The fingerprint enrollment process stops automatically under the following conditions:

     • You change or leave the infotainment system screen.

     • The EV button is switched ON or OFF.

     • You shift gears and begin driving the Kia EV6.

TIP

Deleting fingerprint

1. Select Setup > User Profile > Driver 1 ( > or Driver 2) > Fingerprint Identification > Set/Delete Fingerprint > Delete on the Kia EV6 infotainment display.

2. Delete the registered fingerprint by confirming the message: Delete all Driver 1 (or Driver 2) fingerprints?

3. Once the fingerprint is deleted, the updated status appears on the Kia EV6 infotainment system screen.
