To use the Kia EV6 fingerprint authentication system, you must first enroll your fingerprint within the selected driver profile. Follow the instructions below to register or delete fingerprints through the infotainment display.

Switch the Kia EV6 to the POWER ON position.
Select Setup > User Profile > Driver 1 ( > or Driver 2) > Fingerprint Identification > Set/Delete Fingerprint > Set within the Kia EV6 infotainment system.
Place the finger you want to register gently on the fingerprint sensor (A) following the on-screen instructions. Applying excessive pressure may prevent successful fingerprint recognition.
Follow the infotainment prompts and place different areas of your fingertip on the sensor until the scanning process is fully completed.
When scanning is complete, the message Saving fingerprint... appears, and the Kia EV6 fingerprint enrollment process finishes automatically.
After enrollment is complete, the registration status is displayed on the infotainment system screen.
The fingerprint enrollment process stops automatically under the following conditions:
You change or leave the infotainment system screen.
The EV button is switched ON or OFF.
You shift gears and begin driving the Kia EV6.
TIP
The Kia EV6 infotainment interface may change after software or navigation updates. For additional information, refer to the infotainment manual and quick reference guide available within the system.
Select Setup > User Profile > Driver 1 ( > or Driver 2) > Fingerprint Identification > Set/Delete Fingerprint > Delete on the Kia EV6 infotainment display.
Delete the registered fingerprint by confirming the message: Delete all Driver 1 (or Driver 2) fingerprints?
Once the fingerprint is deleted, the updated status appears on the Kia EV6 infotainment system screen.
NOTE
The fingerprint sensor does not operate unless at least one fingerprint has been registered in the Kia EV6 infotainment system.
You may register a maximum of two fingerprints, one for Driver 1 and one for Driver 2.
Before registering a fingerprint, clean the sensor surface and remove all protective film, dust, moisture, or foreign substances.
The fingerprint registration process automatically stops under the following conditions:
You switch to another infotainment system screen.
The Kia EV6 is turned ON or OFF.
You shift gears and begin driving the vehicle.
CAUTION
Do not share or duplicate your registered fingerprint with other individuals if you wish to maintain secure access to personalized Kia EV6 features.
NOTE
Touch the Kia EV6 fingerprint authentication sensor gently. Applying excessive pressure may result in failed fingerprint recognition attempts.
