The Warning Methods can be configured while the Kia EV6 is turned on. Select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Kia EV6 Warning Methods settings icon (Warning Methods) from the infotainment system settings menu to adjust the following options:

  • Parking Safety Priority: Reduces the volume of other audio sources whenever the Kia EV6 Rear View Monitor or parking safety system is active.

TIP

  • Your selected Warning Methods settings may also apply to other Kia EV6 driver assistance and parking safety systems.

  • Warning Methods retain the most recently selected settings even after the Kia EV6 is turned OFF and restarted.

  • The Warning Methods settings menu may not be available on all Kia EV6 trims, software versions, or regional specifications.

Camera Settings

While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, tap the setup icon (Kia EV6 camera settings icon) or select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Camera Settings on the infotainment system screen to adjust Rear View Monitor settings.

Extended Rear View Monitor

If the Extended Rear View Monitor setting is activated, the rear camera image continues displaying after shifting from R (Reverse) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive), helping the Kia EV6 driver maintain better visibility while maneuvering or parking.

Rear View Parking Guidance

If Rear View Parking Guidance is selected in the display information menu, Rear View Parking Guidance and Top Rear View Parking Guidance are shown on the Kia EV6 rear monitor display.

NOTE

  • The horizontal guidelines in the Kia EV6 Rear View Parking Guidance indicate approximate distances of 20 in (0.5 m), 40 in (1 m), and 91 in (2.3 m) from the vehicle.

  • The horizontal scale in the Top View Parking Guidance indicates the approximate liftgate opening distance and 60 in (1.5 m) from the Kia EV6.

The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system in the Kia EV6 allows the high-voltage battery to supply AC electrical power for operating external electronic devices and household equipment. To activate the Kia EV6 V2L system, tap the V2L icon on the infotainment display.

Kia EV6 2022-2026 Owner's Manual: Safe Exit Warning (SEW): (if equipped)

The Kia EV6 Safe Exit Warning (SEW) system is designed to help reduce the risk of accidents when passengers exit the vehicle. While the Kia EV6 is stopped, Safe Exit Warning can monitor vehicles approaching from the rear side area and provide visual and audible warnings if a passenger attempts to open a door when a potential collision risk is detected.
