While the Kia EV6 is in DRIVE READY mode, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety on the infotainment display to adjust the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist settings.

WARNING

Each time the Kia EV6 is restarted, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist automatically turns ON. If Rear Cross-Traffic Safety is manually deselected after restarting the vehicle, the driver must continuously monitor the surroundings and operate the vehicle carefully.

CAUTION

When using a genuine Kia Trailer Kit and the trailer connector is attached to the Kia EV6, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist automatically turns OFF. In this situation, the driver will not receive support from the RCCA system and must use additional caution while reversing or maneuvering the vehicle. The Kia genuine Trailer Kit can automatically recognize whether a trailer is connected.

The Warning Methods can be configured while the Kia EV6 is powered on. Select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Kia EV6 Warning Methods settings icon (Warning Methods) from the infotainment settings menu to change the following options:

  • Warning Volume: Allows the driver to adjust the warning sound level used by the Kia EV6 driver assistance systems.

TIP

  • The selected Warning Methods settings in the Kia EV6 may also apply to other advanced driver assistance systems.

  • Warning Methods settings are saved even after the Kia EV6 is turned OFF and restarted.

  • The Warning Methods settings menu may not be available depending on vehicle specification or regional software configuration.

When the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system is active in the Kia EV6, driving force is automatically distributed between the front and rear wheels according to current traction conditions. The AWD system improves overall driving performance and vehicle stability on difficult road surfaces such as steep hills, muddy terrain, wet roads, gravel, sand, snow, and other low-traction environments.
