This indicator appears:When the Kia EV6 is fully ready for driving operation.
ON: Normal vehicle driving is available.
OFF: Normal driving is not possible or a system issue has occurred.
Blinking: Emergency driving operation may still be possible.
If the READY indicator turns OFF or begins blinking while driving the Kia EV6, there may be a problem with the electric drive system. In this situation, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer immediately.
Service warning light
This warning light appears:When the EV button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
The service warning light illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then turns OFF during normal operation.
When there is a malfunction involving components related to the Kia EV6 electric vehicle control system, including sensors, controllers, or related electronic systems.
If the service warning light remains illuminated while driving or does not turn OFF after starting the Kia EV6, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
Power down indicator light
This indicator appears:When the EV button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
When vehicle output power is temporarily limited to protect high-voltage electrical components and ensure safe Kia EV6 operation. Power limitation may occur for the following reasons (unless both the Service Warning Light and Power Down Indicator Light appear simultaneously, this condition is generally not considered a system failure):
The high-voltage battery charge level is too low or battery voltage is decreasing.
The high-voltage battery temperature is excessively high or excessively low.
The electric drive motor temperature is too high.
NOTE
Do not accelerate aggressively or attempt sudden vehicle launches while the Power Down Indicator Light is ON.
If the Kia EV6 battery charge level is insufficient, recharge the high-voltage battery immediately.
NOTE
When power output is limited to protect high-voltage vehicle components, the power down indicator light illuminates. Under these conditions, the Kia EV6 may have reduced acceleration performance or may roll backward slightly on steep inclines because of limited motor output.
Charging cable connection indicator light
This indicator appears:This indicator illuminates whenever the Kia EV6 charging cable is connected to the vehicle charging inlet.
High voltage battery low level warning light
This warning light appears:When the Kia EV6 high-voltage battery charge level becomes critically low.
If this warning light turns ON, recharge the battery immediately to avoid loss of driving range or restricted vehicle operation.
Regenerative brake warning light (Red color) (Yellow color)
This warning light appears:When the regenerative braking system is not operating normally and overall braking performance may be reduced. Under these conditions, both the Brake Warning Light (red) and the Regenerative Brake Warning Light (yellow) illuminate simultaneously.
If this occurs, drive the Kia EV6 carefully and have the braking system inspected by an authorized Kia dealer immediately.
Brake pedal operation may feel firmer or require increased pedal effort compared with normal operation. Braking distance may also increase because the system automatically switches to hydraulic braking mode.
